Every therapeutics lesson carries its own patient-safety and referral boundary. Where a red flag, unstable physiology, serious disease or diagnostic uncertainty is present, medical assessment, investigation, standard care or referral comes first — homeopathic prescribing follows once the patient is safe.
Why it mattersExaminers test this boundary deliberately. An answer that reaches the right remedy but misses the referral is marked wrong.
