Qualified Ayurveda graduates arrive at the UAE licensing assessment with five and a half years of study behind them and still find the paper unfamiliar. The reason is structural. A degree programme tests whether you know a subject. A licensing assessment tests whether you can separate two answers that are both partly right, decide which one fits this patient today, and recognise the point at which Ayurvedic management stops and referral begins.

Re-reading the Samhitas does not train that skill. Structured, exam-shaped practice does.

The program follows the Ayurveda coverage domains published in the UAE assessment framework — no gaps, no padding, no topics carried over from a general wellness syllabus.

The same ten steps in every lesson

You should not have to work out how a lesson is organised before you can study it. Every one of the 340 lessons runs the same route, so your attention goes to the material instead of the navigation.

5,250 questions, every one with the reasoning written out

Thirty-five full-length timed sets of 150 questions. Each item carries a written rationale that explains why the key is correct and why the attractive wrong option fails — because in this assessment the near-miss option is where marks are lost.

Every module closes with viva-style examiner stations: definition, comparison, applied case, misconception correction, patient communication, safety and scope, and synthesis. Forty worked clinical case conferences run across the program.

All questions are original items written to the published domains. No provider can lawfully supply real examination content, and any that claims to is putting your application at risk.

The part candidates under-prepare and examiners weight heavily

Every lesson states an explicit safety boundary — the presentation that must be investigated before it is attributed to a constitutional pattern, and the point at which referral is not optional.

Classical constructs are taught in their own conceptual language rather than forced into one-to-one biomedical equivalence. That mapping error costs marks in the examination, and in practice it costs patients.

A ten-week plan at eight to ten hours a week

Qualified Ayurveda graduates only

• BAMS graduates and holders of an equivalent recognised Ayurveda medical degree preparing for UAE licensure.
• Practitioners relocating to the UAE from India or Sri Lanka.
• Practitioners returning after a career gap who need a complete, sequenced pass through the syllabus.
• Candidates re-sitting after a near miss, who need reasoning and pacing practice rather than more content.
• Final-year Ayurveda students planning a GCC career.

This is professional examination preparation. It is not general Ayurveda or wellness education, and it is not suitable for massage or spa therapists without a full Ayurveda medical degree.

What to check before you book

The UAE Ayurveda Practitioner licensing assessment is a computer-based multiple-choice examination. Dubai Health Authority assessments are delivered through Prometric test centres. Ayurveda Practitioner is a licensable title with DHA and with DOH Abu Dhabi, and falls under the complementary medicine category with MOHAP in the northern emirates.

Question count, duration, pass mark and fee are set by the authority and are confirmed to you in your own eligibility application. Requirements differ between authorities and are revised from time to time, so always check the current figures on your authority portal before you book.

This program is built around the published coverage domains rather than around any single set of figures, so it remains valid when an authority updates its assessment parameters.
